Review by Lucky Boyd

Reviewing this album, for me, is almost like grading my own child’s homework. Bruce Anthony and I spoke at length many times about the direction of this disc. I had always advised Bruce not to rush this release but rather make sure it was something to be proud of. Of course the project took years, but it was worth the wait. Anthony surrounded himself with some of the best performers in the business and created an artist album that rivals anything in his genre. Anthony’s pop-folk feel, coupled with Island and jazz rhythms make the album comfortable and inviting. It is certainly one of those discs that you can leave in the player for days on end. Anthony’s voice is perfect for this music and his delivery is flawless. The production is outstanding, using innovative ideas and masterful arrangements to offer up one of the best debut albums I’ve heard. Bruce Anthony gets an ‘A’ on his homework. Reviewer’s note: From those of us who consider ourselves friends of Bruce, we’re very proud of you, welcome to the club.
